Where Wall Street meets UCONN.
Executive Summary
The Opportunity Fund Club aims to extend the mission and impact of the University of Connecticut’s Opportunity Fund Project by creating a student-driven organization focused on providing resources, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to UConn students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. The club will serve as a platform for students to engage in philanthropic efforts, access financial literacy education, and create pathways to internships, scholarships, and other career development opportunities.
The OFC will partner with corporations, alumni, local businesses, and university organizations to enhance students' academic and career success. Through workshops, speaker events, networking sessions, and fundraising, the club will build a supportive network that addresses the unique challenges faced by students from historically underrepresented groups in the world of finance.
Our Misson
Much like the OFP program, the mission of the Opportunity Fund Club is to empower students from diverse backgrounds by expanding access to opportunities, promoting financial literacy, and facilitating community engagement. Through mentorship, resources, and collaborative initiatives, creating a younger and more diverse cohort to train as investors, as it is open to all students. The organization aims to prepare students to understand what it takes to become investment managers, venture capitalists, consultants, commercial bankers, private equity investors, and investment bankers.
Our

Taking things outside of campus is also important in seeing how other countries and world visionaries experience and experiment in the Investment Banking world.
Community Engagement and Social Impact
Facilitate student-led initiatives that directly impact the local community, particularly through volunteering and outreach programs. Further expanding our outreach efforts with high school investment/ finance classes around Connecticut.
Mentorship and Networking
